Now, if you read my blog last week you will be aware that no matter how hard I try there is always something without a price, someone always asks how much and I always sell it too cheap. Well, it happened again! Somebody walked away with a bargain and we even gave them an extra 10% discount. You see, I told you so, if you didn't make it yesterday you missed out big time!
Still, don't worry, we are open all the way up to Christmas Eve with lots of lovely individual gifts that you can't find anywhere else, so make sure you pop in.
It was also a good opportunity yesterday to talk to a few people interested in my painting technique and learning how to paint with freedom and expression. I could see that they really wanted to have a go but felt they wouldn't be able to do it. I can assure you it is not as difficult as you think and I can help you overcome that fear.
I also had some news, out of the blue, that the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) would like to use my two watercolours of the Robin and the Blue Tit for their Christmas cards in 2016. It's always quite flattering when your work is appreciated and admired.
It is these two birds that I often demonstrate in my Watercolour Workshops as they are very simple, using only a few colours and most people, whatever their experience, can usually master it when I have shown them how.
While I think of it, this coming Saturday the 12th December, is my last Watercolour Workshop this year and there are still a few places left, so if you are interested in learning to paint then you can find out more and book online here or just give me a call on 01409 241989.
You never know, next year it may be you being selected to have your paintings published as Christmas Cards. Don't believe me? Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to say, "I told you so!"
