After all the hard work and preparation of the winter months we have been open for a week and it's looking good! Everything looks fresh and exciting and people have been flocking in. It's good to see a mixture of local people and visitors from all over the country. It's early days yet, but it bodes well for the rest of the season after a couple of lean years. As promised I have uploaded some pictures of the gallery but be warned, we have already sold quite a lot of original work, so if there is something you have got your eye on you had better be quick before it goes!
This weekend we had another addition to the West Gallery armoury with the delivery of a new 24" giclee printer which will enable us to produce fine art prints and greetings cards in-house. At first, we will be producing prints of my popular watercolours which will hopefully give me a bit of breathing space from having to paint new originals. There's a bit of a learning curve before we offer this as a service but my background is in design and print and I'm a bit of a whizz on Photoshop, so it shouldn't take long. I will keep you posted.
I have also been tucked away in my shed at the weekend building a fantastic Heath Robinson contraption for the forthcoming Bradworthy Arts Festival on 3rd, 4th and 5th May. It's all top secret at the moment but it's looking good. I will reveal all in next weeks blog where there will be a big splash! In the meantime, you can check out all the other events and workshops going on at the Bradworthy Arts Festival here.
Meanwhile, if you're in Holsworthy, check out our pop-up exhibition currently running at Holsworthy Museum, just a glimpse of what we have to offer.
Right, that's the weeks events, I can't sit here chatting to you all day, I must get on. See you next week.
