You think I jest. We are all the same, myself included. In fact, we have just despatched our last online order today, Monday, to Yorkshire and yes, it was a man! We aren't taking any more online Christmas orders now, it really is cutting it a bit fine. But if you are not too far from us you can always pop into the gallery, we are open until Christmas Eve and, yes, we do sell jewellery, so there you go chaps, ten minutes shopping and still time to get up the pub!
I'm looking forward to the break though, it's been a fantastic year in the gallery and I would like to thank all our customers and all of our artists for making it a wonderful year. It's about now though, that you start to reflect on all of the events of the year. The highs, the lows, the long summer days, another birthday, ever-changing world events, the new friends you have made, the people you have lost. So much as happened and it all goes so quick. What will next year have in store?
My weekly blog is a snapshot of our day-to-day activities. What happens in the gallery, the interesting people I meet, the influences around me, my thoughts and opinions, my observations. I hope you have enjoyed them and, hopefully, I have entertained and educated. My blog will be taking a Christmas break for a few weeks (sorry folks) but I will be back in the New Year with more witty and insightful comments.
So, over to you, what do you want to hear me talk about? Do you want to know about how I paint or even why I paint? More about my workshops or about all the other artists in the gallery (okay, I do talk about me a lot but it's who I know best). Maybe you want to know what sells and what doesn't, current and changing trends, presentation of artwork, customer comments. It could be anything... it's up to you. I do politics and religion as well, second thoughts, best not get me started!
Something to chew on as you digest your Yuletide fayre and we look forward to 2015 and the long hazy summer days here in Devon and Cornwall. Best wishes, have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
PS. The gallery will be closed for our winter break from Christmas Day until March 21st 2015. You can still order online or contact us via email or phone for any other enquiries including giclee printing and workshops.
