But wait... it's not all doom and gloom. After a sumptuous October with bright sunshine and temperatures almost as warm as August a few days bad weather isn't going to stop us, is it? Not everywhere is closed, here at West Gallery we are open every day and there's lots going on.
Having said that, this coming Saturday, the 21st, Belinda will be doing Bradworthy Christmas Craft Fair and I also have a full Watercolour Workshop. Bit of an unfortunate calendar clash which means the gallery won't be open until 1.30pm on Saturday. It is one of the rare occasions we won't be open but it's only a few hours and we will be back open every day up until Christmas. Why not pop along and see Belinda and all the other stalls at the Memorial Hall in Bradworthy that day and get in the festive mood.
If you are interested in learning to paint check out the available dates of my Watercolour Workshops. But hurry, there's not many available dates before Christmas. I will be adding more for the New Year, so keep your eye on our web page. You may even know someone that would like to learn to paint. We will be offering Workshop Gift Vouchers which would make the ideal Christmas gift.
On Sunday 6th December we will be holding our traditional Mulled Wine and Mince Pies day. An open house where you can pop in any time and enjoy a bit of festive cheer with the added bonus of a 10% discount. More about that nearer the time.
I am busy working on commissions and fulfilling online orders, especially the overseas ones, as well as a printing several fine art giclée prints for other artists while being front of house in the gallery. There are less people about than the summer, obviously, but at this time of year we get the more discerning buyer with a bit more time to browse. People that are looking for something special, a unique gift for a friend or family member or piece of art for themselves. Something you just can't find on the high street.
So, it's all go and will be all the way to Christmas. Don't let the weather get you down, come along and see us, add a bit of colour and cheer to your daily grind and enjoy the beauty and pleasure of some special creations to lift your spirits. After all, that's what art is all about, isn't it?
