I haven't exactly sold out but it is now that time of year for the Westward Ho! and Bideford Art Society Annual Exhibition at the Burton in Bideford for which I have painted two new pieces, as well as putting in two of the seascapes. I have also been asked to paint four more pictures, heading off to Cornwall which I have to complete by, well, er, the end of this week! No pressure then!
I have, in total, six exhibitions which all need contributions between now and September. Now, I am not complaining, this is all good news but I do run a gallery and it's getting busier as the summer goes on. Of course, if Ido sell more pictures I have got to paint even more. Still, I'd rather that than not sell any at all, I suppose.
That's great but there are only so many hours in a day. So I am doing this blog at midnight on Sunday as well as all my emails and admin stuff to try and free up some time next week. Now this may be the 'longest day' but you don't actually get any more hours in the day, do you?
It's weird, I always seem to be in this position at this time of year. I thought I was prepared this year but it doesn't matter how many pictures I paint I always have to do a few more at the busiest time.
So, I can't sit here gossiping to you, I'd better get my brushes out!
You can see the original artworks below at Westward Ho! and Bideford Art Society Summer Exhibition at the Burton Museum and Art Gallery, Bideford from 27th June to 1st August 2015.
