So what's going on and what are we doing? Well, despite being quiet on the blogosphere for the last few weeks, the new year has started off the way 2014 finished, manic. I am pleased to say we have been really busy and there's lots of exciting things in the pipeline.
The gallery may be closed until March 21st but we are still doing sales online and we have already sold a several paintings and some lovely pieces of jewellery via the website. We have noticed the way people buy art and what sort of thing is popular is changing. Our challenge is to stay ahead of the game and offer what buyers are looking for. Certainly keeps me on my toes.
It's that time of year where we are looking at new work, so watch this space to see what new and exciting artists and artwork will be coming through the door. We are also busy producing giclée prints for many artists. A good time of year to build some stock for the summer and an excellent way to increase sales of your art without any effort.
I have already held my first Watercolour Workshop of 2015 and the next one is fully booked too. Don't worry there are more scheduled in, see here. If you have been thinking about doing one but are a bit nervous about it, don't worry. One of the ladies that came last week doubted her own ability but after a few hours tuition was amazed at what she could achieve. So much so that she got quite emotional at the end saying that she didn't think anybody could get her to paint like that. With a tear in her eye and puffed up with pride she left with a framed original painting that she will cherish. So, why not give it a go, it may just be the start of something wonderful.
So here is to a successful year for everybody and I wish you all a prosperous 2015. You can then all go out and buy a piece of art, can't you?
